Members of the United Youth of Pakistan Welfare Association initiated a teaching drive at the Sirat ul Jannah Orphanage (Karachi) from the 1st of Ramadan (July 2011). This orphanage did not only provide home to the orphans but was also a shelter place for the under privileged and deprived children. Owing to the need of those children, the drive, which began as an academic drive was slowly altered. The sessions which took place thrice a week there then focused on teaching children moral values, ethics, importance of health and hygiene and Islamic Virtues. All these virtues were reinforced in the children through uniquely designed activities, presentations and skits.
